Random pictures

Here are some pictures from the last couple of months. Skylar is really growing up. We can actually have conversations with her now. We are amazed at some of the things she says. Lately she has been telling me not to say bad words or I will get in trouble. We converted her bed to a full sized bed & she loves it. She loves to help her Daddy with projects like washing the car, using tools, cooking & gardening. The coolest thing she said lately was just yesterday at a Birthday party. She said "Don"t give me any birthday cake because it has wheat in it!" I'm so glad she's starting to understand her allergy. She also tells me to check the labels to make sure her food is "gluten free." She is a real social butterfly. She is never shy & walks up and starts playing with kids she just met. This week at dance class there was a little girl who really didn't want to be there so Skylar walked right up to her & said "Hey...why are you so mad? just dance with me & it will be fun!"

Family History

I thought it would be nice to include our marriage license & the family tree on Larry's side. Grandma Booker had researched the family information for us. Chris's information will be coming soon.

Fancy Easter Eggs

While we were in TN we got to see Larry's cousin John & his wife Jenifer. They were visiting from PA. Jenifer showed us how to make the most beautiful Easter Eggs. You need men's 100% silk ties (each tie will color about 5 eggs) Cut the tie into square pieces. Wrap a piece around an egg and rubber band it. Then take an old white tshirt & cut it up. Cover the silk on the egg with a piece of tshirt & rubber band. Grab a large pot & fill it with water & 2 cups of vinegar. Boil the eggs for 15 minutes. After you remove the fabric the print from the tie will have transferred to the egg! You can rub oil on the eggs. This makes a beautiful shine...looks like glass.

Spring Break

Larry decided to take 10 days off of work for the sring/Easter break. The week started w/G's 2nd birthday party & then we drove to TN for part of the week. We went to Anthony's 1st Communion, the Exotic Petting Zoo with our cousins, black light mini golf & go cart rides w/ Grandma Booker, colored eggs at Aunt Cindy & Uncle Johnny's house, & had a huge Easter Egg hunt at Grandma & Grandpa's. Larry took Anthony & Grandma Booker for their 1st helo ride! After we got home we had some quiet family time & even went to the beach, dance class & the playground. At the end of the week Uncle Billy, Aunt Kelly & the girls came for a visit & we went to the zoo & roasted marshmallows on the fire. It was a great week.
