Grandma & Grandpa came to town

A couple weeks ago we had a visit from Grandma & Grandpa. Skylar, Grandma & I went shopping & Grandma got Sky lots of cool stuff. After we got home they decorated a pumpkin and played for hours. Then Grandpa joined us for a trip to the beach to pick up shells. Sky had such a nice visit w/her Grandparents & wanted to go w/them when they left.

Military Family Festival

A few weeks ago we took Skylar trick or treating at the 1st annual Military Family Festival in Virginia Beach. We went w/ our good friends. It was super crowded but the kids had a lot of fun. Skylar picked out her own costume. She said she wanted to be a princess & when I took her to the store she picked out a Cinderella costume. She looked adorable. The night of Halloween she had no interest in putting on a costume & going trick or treating but she loved sitting on the porch and handing out candy...whatever makes her happy.

Digging in the dirt

Skylar loves to dig in the dirt & look for bugs. She cries when it's time to go inside. She could play outside for hours & hours.

Another ER visit

Skylar was running & having fun & fell in the kitchen & hit her head on the tile floor. The poor thing tripped over her own bare feet. She wasn't acting like herself & kept vomiting so we took her to the local hospital to get checked out. She had a ct scan & thankfully everything looked ok. This picture was of her & Larry sleeping in the ER room waiting for her results...so sweet.

Our new pet & the pumpkin farm

Last month when Larry was in TN he found a beautiful fish bowl at a garage sale. Since Skylar had been asking for a fish he thought this would be perfect to bring home for her. She loved it. We took her to Animal Jungle & let her pick out gravel, a live plant, & a fish. She picked out a red betta fish & named it Dory. She loves to stand on her step stool & watch Dory swim. That same day we went to the pumpkin patch with our friends. The kids had a blast in the play area. We all enjoyed a hayride & then went out to the field & picked our own pumpkins. Afterwards we came back to the house so the kids could play while we cooked dinner. It was a wonderful weekend.

Our little girl is almost 3

I can't believe Skylar will be 3 next month! Her vocabulary amazes me every day. Right now her favorite show is Go Diego Go & she carries around a tiny Diego action figure along with Piggy. She loves to garden with her Dad & every night she looks for the moon & the stars in the sky. Lots of new pictures from the past month are coming soon!
