Doug and Terry visit

The weekend after Thanksgiving we had a visit from Larry's cousin Doug & his wife Terry. They are from New Jersey.We went to Colonial Williamsburg and had fun hanging out at home. We had a nice Sunday breakfast together & Skylar tried to feed her Piggy bacon!

Thanksgivng

Every year we love to host Thanksgiving dinner. We've been getting together with our friends for years. For the last couple of years the kids table has been bigger than the adult table.

Jumping in leaves

Larry spent 4 weekends working on the front garden. Skylar loved hanging out with her Dad. She helped him put rocks in the garden and dig for worms. She had so much fun jumping in the leaves. One day Skylar got tired of hanging w/her Dad so she opened the front door & ran up the steps. I was relaxing in the tub. She opened the door covered in mud w/ a worm in her hand & said "Mom I'm filthy & I need to get in your tub w/you!" Before I could grab her she ripped off her clothes & was sitting in the tub w/ me.

Grandma & Grandpa came to town

A couple weeks ago we had a visit from Grandma & Grandpa. Skylar, Grandma & I went shopping & Grandma got Sky lots of cool stuff. After we got home they decorated a pumpkin and played for hours. Then Grandpa joined us for a trip to the beach to pick up shells. Sky had such a nice visit w/her Grandparents & wanted to go w/them when they left.

Military Family Festival

A few weeks ago we took Skylar trick or treating at the 1st annual Military Family Festival in Virginia Beach. We went w/ our good friends. It was super crowded but the kids had a lot of fun. Skylar picked out her own costume. She said she wanted to be a princess & when I took her to the store she picked out a Cinderella costume. She looked adorable. The night of Halloween she had no interest in putting on a costume & going trick or treating but she loved sitting on the porch and handing out candy...whatever makes her happy.
