a week of fun

The weather has been really hot this week but we still had fun. We went to a BBQ last weekend, the pool on Little Creek Naval Base, and to the Aquarium. The Aquarium was very crowded with field trips but Skylar didn't mind. She got to pet a crab, touch a whale's tooth, and watch them feed the sting rays. One of the chaperones from the field trip asked if she could walk with us since she enjoyed hearing Skylar get so excited about everything. This week Larry sent Skylar a video in the mail. I've included a picture of her watching Larry read her a story about a puppy. She's already watched it about 50 times.

Fashion Plate

Skylar just loves to dress up. She likes to pick out her own outfits & shoes for the day. Right now her favorite outfits are ones with Minnie Mouse on the shirt & her froggy crocs/shoes. She also likes to dress up her Piggy. Every time we go out she puts on her sunglasses & Piggy's sunglasses, they both have to have a purse & now Skylar has to have a cell phone! She likes having her toes painted like Mommy, but she doesn't like to have her hair styled. If it were up to her she would probably have a crew cut!

FINALLY...

Skylar just used the potty for the 1st time! She is very excited. I sure hope she does it again soon.

Hunt Club Petting Farm

The other day I took Skylar to the petting zoo. We went early in the morning before it got too hot. She was so well behaved. She got to feed the goats, hold a baby chicken, & ride a pony named Little Joe. After playing with the animals she played on the slides. When I told her it was time to leave she cried & cried.

Computer geek

Skylar just loves to stand on the little ladder by the laptop. She asks my to look up pictures of animals & pictures of her friends & her cousins.

Little Gym Member Party

2 weeks ago we went to a party at the Little Gym. This is a party for members only to sign up for the next semester. Sky was so excited about her party. She put on her fanciest tutu & also had to dress up her Piggy. After we signed up for classes she got to play in the gym with the other kids. She got to spin a prize wheel & she won a frisbee. She was so happy. She called it a wheel & started singing Wheels on the Bus. She also got a tote bag, a tshirt, a tumbler/cup, stickers, tattoos, bracelet & a balloon. We only stayed for 45 minutes & she still talks about the party!

1st black eye

My poor little buddy got her 1st black eye last week. At home she bumped into her toybox & then that night we had dinner at a friend's house & she bumped herself on the corner of the dining room table in the same spot! Poor little thing. She's tough. She can now say her full name & her age.
