Virginia Aquarium

The 3 Behrs are now members of the Virginia Aquarium. Today was our first visit. Skylar loved it. Her favorite display was the sea turtle tank. Since she was good I bought her a stuffed Nemo in the gift shop & we got a post card for her Daddy Daddy.

Skylar loves to help out around the house. She sweeps, wipes counters, puts laundry in the dryer & grinds coffee.

Skylar & I have been keeping busy. We still go to The Little Gym on Fridays & have a play date on Saturdays. On Valentines Day we got a call from Larry. Skylar was very happy to hear from her Daddy Daddy. She also picked out a singing balloon from Farm Fresh...her gift from Mommy.

my big girl

Skylar is a big talker lately. She is really catching on to things & starting to form sentences. Today Taz was in her way & she said "watch out boy" When she wants me to look at her toy she says "try it Mommy" Every time I get an email my phone plays a little song. Now when I check email Skylar says.."from Larry...Daddy?" When I take her upstairs at night for her bath she always yells for Daddy. For the past 2 weeks I've been telling her that Daddy's at work. Last night when we walked up the steps she said "Daddy, Daddy...Daddy at work" It made me cry. She got to skype w/ her Daddy last week when he was in port & hopefully this week he will skype w/ us again.

Skylar updates

Skylar is going through her 1st deployment & she's doing pretty well. Larry has been gone almost 2 weeks now. He made some videos before he left:videos of him & Skylar playing, reading books, & a good night video...which she plays about 10 times each night. She is really starting to talk up a storm. She knows so many words now! She is also starting to count, learn colors & the alphabet. I put on a lot of educational shows for her on tv & some cartoons. She is also starting to follow directions & dance. Her favorite toys are her play kitchen, musical instruments, her tools, and as always...stuffed animals! She got a new potty the other day & was so excited. She sat on it all day. The next day she didn't want to sit on it at all & turned it into a toy box!!! We still go to tumbling classes at The Little Gym on friday mornings.
