Bella's 3rd Birthday Party

Yesterday we all went to Bella's party at The Jumpin Jellybean in Norfolk. It is the coolest place. It has huge inflatables for kids & adults to jump & play in. Skylar LOVED it & she cried when we had to leave.

Today was Skylar's 1st time playing dress up. She loved it! I'm sure her Daddy would rather see her wearing a bee keepers suit :)

Every time I'm working in the kitchen my little buddy always pulls up her chair & joins me! Larry also got a cute picture of us sleeping on the couch the other night.

Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Today we went to the Botanical Gardens w/ Laura & her girls. The kids had a blast. First we went through the Storybook Playhouses & then the kids played in the fountains. We also ran into Tony & Nate! It was a nice morning & it was very easy to put Skylar down for her nap today.

my little artist

This is the new art easel we got for Skylar at a garage sale. (new they are $50...we got it for $6) It was in great condition & she loves it. There is a section on the top that holds paper. Right now she still eats crayons but hopefully soon she will be coloring pictures.

This is Skylar's sailor suit from Lar's cousin Lisa. Larry got her the hat from the Navy base & she's not too fond of it!

Skylar updates

I can't believe that Skylar is almost 20 months old! We have started potty training (although she is not showing much interest) She thinks her Dora potty seat is a new tub toy & gets very upset when she can't play w/ it. Since the weather has been so hot we have started an early morning walk with Taz & we're really enjoying it. We have also started family dinners. We used to feed Skylar by herself & then after she went to bed Larry & I would have dinner together. Our family dinners are going great so far. Skylar sits on a booster seat & we all sit at the kitchen table together. We put on some music & Skylar laughs & dances during dinner. She is also learning her body parts. So far she knows her head, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, tongue, hands, fingers, elbows, knees, feet, toes, & belly button! She still takes 1 nap during the day & I hope this will last awhile longer!
