Crazy Crumbs Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to Crazy Crumbs 3rd Birthday Party. It was a lot of fun. Skylar spent most of the day in the pool. She had her 1st lollipop & her 1st kiss w/ Walter. She patted him on the head & then leaned over & kissed him. It happened so quickly that I missed the picture. I've also included a picture of the guys throwing Larry down the slip & slide. Banana Pound Cake

I made this recipe a few weeks ago & LOVED it!

Banana Pound Cake

1 cup shortening

8 tablespoons (softened) butter

3 cups sugar

5 eggs

3 ripe bananas (mashed)

3 tablespoons milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

* preheat oven to 350 degrees

* grease & flour tube pan (bunt cake pan)

* beat shortening & butter until creamy; mix in sugar & eggs gradually

* mix bananas, milk, & vanilla extract in a bowl

* mix flour, salt & baking powder in a separate bowl

* stir flour & banana mixture alternately into butter mixture; mix until blended

* pour batter into prepared tube pan

* bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour & 20 minutes

* remove cake from oven; let cake rest in tube pan for 15 minutes

* remove cake from tube pan; cool completely before serving

Today we went to the Farmers Market & then we went to a patch to pick our own strawberries. Skylar LOVED it. She even wore her strawberry shirt.

Yesterday we went to Ocean City, MD & Delaware to celebrate Bella's Christening. It was a beautiful day. Skylar got to meet so many relatives & had fun playing with the kids. We even took a 4 generation picture.

Family visit and Mothers Day BBQ

This past week we had a lot of company, Grandma, Great Granny, Uncle Billy & cousins Adam & Amanda. I had fun with everyone. Mommy & Daddy also had a big BBQ on Sunday to celebrate Mothers Day & Daddy's Birthday. All of my friends stood by the fireplace to sing Happy Birthday to my Daddy!
