just Hanging out

Skylar was feeling much better today. She was a little fussy yesterday after getting her vaccines. Larry & I have been eating really healthy & we are back to working out. I have no excuses since it's been 4 months since Skylar was born! We had a great dinner tonight. After dinner I took Skylar & Taz for a long walk. Larry had to finish a paper for school. This was the first time I took the baby & the dog without Larry. They did great. We are really lucky...Taz is such a good dog & he loves Skylar. When we put Skylar to bed we hang out in the office downstairs & turn on the baby monitor (it has a tv screen) About every 10 minutes we see Taz go up & look at the baby, wag his tail & come back downstairs. When we go to bed for the night, Taz sleeps on the couch in Skylar's room. We couldn't ask for a better dog!

4 month check up.

We just got back from the Dr's office. Skylar is 16.9 lb's & 25 inches long! She smiled & baby taked to the Dr. during her exam. When she got her shots she screamed her head off! She is very healthy & gaining plenty of weight so she won't start cereal until she is 6 months old. The Dr said they like to wait until 6 months to avoid food allergies later in life. She will start rice cereal a week before her 6 month checkup so I can let the Dr know how she is doing. Skylar is fussy from her shots so I am going to try to put her down for a nap.

A nice day in Kansas

The weather has been beautiful for the past 3 days & all the flowers & trees are in bloom. Today we went to Ft Leavenworth because they had a huge garage sale on the base! It was great. They had booths set up in parking lots & in base housing. We got Skylar 5 outfits for $4. & we got a lamp for our room & Larry got some camo pants for work. After the garage sale we found a local pizza place & gave it a try. It was good! Larry is so happy now since he needs his pizza fix! When we came home we met the couple next door & introduced Taz to their dog. They were so nice & they have a teenage daughter who offered to babysit when we are ready! Skylar was good all day.

I'm a morning person

Since I'm so happy in the morning Daddy got the camera & took pictures of me in my crib, then he brought me to Mommy in bed for cuddle time...oh yeah... & so I could eat!!!

Happy Birthday to Anthony

Today is my nephew Anthony's 5th Birthday. I called him twice to wish him a Happy Birthday & he said he didn't feel like talking to me...so I called a 3rd time & sang Happy Birthday on the answering machine. Anthony recently visited me in Kansas. My sister told me a funny story today. She said when Anthony woke up this morning he said he had a bad dream & cried in his sleep. He told her that he dreamed that when he visited Aunt Chris in Kansas that Grandpa got lost on the way home & they were stuck in Kansas forever! My sister laughed & said.."How do you think Aunt Chris feels? She has to live there!"
