This is Skylar's sailor suit from Lar's cousin Lisa. Larry got her the hat from the Navy base & she's not too fond of it!

Skylar updates

I can't believe that Skylar is almost 20 months old! We have started potty training (although she is not showing much interest) She thinks her Dora potty seat is a new tub toy & gets very upset when she can't play w/ it. Since the weather has been so hot we have started an early morning walk with Taz & we're really enjoying it. We have also started family dinners. We used to feed Skylar by herself & then after she went to bed Larry & I would have dinner together. Our family dinners are going great so far. Skylar sits on a booster seat & we all sit at the kitchen table together. We put on some music & Skylar laughs & dances during dinner. She is also learning her body parts. So far she knows her head, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, tongue, hands, fingers, elbows, knees, feet, toes, & belly button! She still takes 1 nap during the day & I hope this will last awhile longer!

Skylar had a blast playing in puddles w/ her Daddy on Sunday. Today she had fun playing in the yard with Mommy.

Mommy's 39th Birthday

Today was my Mommy's Birthday. We had a big family breakfast & then Daddy watched me so Mommy could do some shopping. Mommy came home with presents for everybody. She got me a band in a box & my favorite was my new kazoo. Daddy baked gluten free cupcakes for all of us to enjoy & they were yummy! It's almost my bedtime. After I fall asleep Mom & Dad are going to have crab legs for dinner.

Here are some misc. pics from the last month. We had a visit from Douglas & Terry from NJ, a visit from Mike from NY (poker night!) & a visit from the Weg's from Rhode Island. Skylar loves having company. She also loves her new play house from Grandma Frey.

July updates

Skylar is really growing fast. She understands directions very well..such as...go get your ball from the toy box, etc. She loves when you read her stories & loves her stuffed animals. She sleeps with about 10 of them! The other day Larry was taking a shower & Skylar took about 3 stuffed animals & lined them up outside the door & waited for Larry to come out! Her favorite words are yea & nah...she uses them a lot. In the morning when she gets up she yells for Taz & them gets him a dog treat. She started swim lessons this week at the rec center. We will go mon-fri for 2 weeks. She loves it. We are enjoying our summer & we are looking forward to our family beach vacation in September.
