Our drive to The Outer Banks

Sandbridge Beach

After lots of snow & cold we finally had a nice 60 degree day with plenty of sunshine. We decided to go to the beach in Sandbridge. This was Skylar's 1st ime at the beach & she loved it. She was having fun until she decided to taste the sand & that didn't make her too happy. After our walk she played on the playground at the beach. Before heading home we stopped at PetSmart & she got to watch the dogs playing in the doggie day care. This really made her happy.

Skylar really doesn't watch too much tv...which is a good thing. She loves certain commercials like the kit kat commercial & the Jimmy Dean commercial with the thunder & lightning. This is one of her faves...Lowell "the hammer" Stanley. He is our local ambulance chaser & when he talks it's loud & he moves every muscle in his face. She cracks up every time.

Valentines Day

Yesterday we were all invited to a Valentines party at "Crazy Crumbs" house. There were lots of kids there & Skylar left with a pretty balloon & a goody bag. I made some candy sushi to take to the party. Skylar had a blast & slept very well when she got home.

I can't believe it snowed again this weekend! It was only a couple of inches this time & the roads are clear. Skylar has had a cold for a couple of days but is starting to feel better.I am getting cabin fever so I thought I would send out Skylar updates. Unlike other kids she doesn't like for us to read her books. Hopefully this will change. She grabs a book from her shelf & hands it to me & when I start to read it she runs away. She is also not into cartoons. Sadly she enjoys watching UFC with her Dad.She also loves the Shredded Wheat Cereal commercial, the one where they are all hanging out in a bowl of milk talking. Bojangles Chicken has a new commercial now too. There is a dancing chicken in it & it really cracks her up. Yesterday I was getting Skylar ready for her bath. I got her undressed & let her play in her room while I got her pjs & diaper ready. I turned around & she was in the corner pooping on top of Elmo!!! When I tried to grab her she took off running...what a mess...but a very funny story.
