FINALLY...

Skylar just used the potty for the 1st time! She is very excited. I sure hope she does it again soon.

Hunt Club Petting Farm

The other day I took Skylar to the petting zoo. We went early in the morning before it got too hot. She was so well behaved. She got to feed the goats, hold a baby chicken, & ride a pony named Little Joe. After playing with the animals she played on the slides. When I told her it was time to leave she cried & cried.

Computer geek

Skylar just loves to stand on the little ladder by the laptop. She asks my to look up pictures of animals & pictures of her friends & her cousins.

Little Gym Member Party

2 weeks ago we went to a party at the Little Gym. This is a party for members only to sign up for the next semester. Sky was so excited about her party. She put on her fanciest tutu & also had to dress up her Piggy. After we signed up for classes she got to play in the gym with the other kids. She got to spin a prize wheel & she won a frisbee. She was so happy. She called it a wheel & started singing Wheels on the Bus. She also got a tote bag, a tshirt, a tumbler/cup, stickers, tattoos, bracelet & a balloon. We only stayed for 45 minutes & she still talks about the party!

1st black eye

My poor little buddy got her 1st black eye last week. At home she bumped into her toybox & then that night we had dinner at a friend's house & she bumped herself on the corner of the dining room table in the same spot! Poor little thing. She's tough. She can now say her full name & her age.

swimming & gardening

We've been having a lot of really hot days & Sky can over heat easily so she has a kiddie pool that we keep on the deck in the shade. She likes to soak in the pool & eat ice chips. After she's done swimming she takes her watering can & waters her garden.

fun times in May

Skylar is an early riser who doesn't take many naps anymore. She just loves to play outside. Lately she plays in her little pool & then uses the water to water her plants. She's so creative! She is getting very good at singing the alphabet & Happy Birthday. She has also started memorizing the books that I read to her. We read books all day long. Right now her favorite bedtime book is Llama Llama Red Pajama. She also likes to make animal sounds. She is still being a picky eater so thank goodness for vitamins! Right now she only wants to drink milk, water & eat blackberries. She really likes to pick strawberries. We've already been twice this season. I painted her toes for the 1st time. I used clear with a shimmery glitter. She was so excited but isn't patient enough to sit & let them dry. She loves to hang out in my bed & watch me fold laundry.

Just 2's Kempsville Library Graduation

Yesterday Skylar graduated from her "Just 2's" 8 week library program. She loved it so much & really learned a lot. We are going to sign up for the next session. It starts the end of June.

May fun

May has been a fun & busy month. The day before Mother's Day I had a day to myself while Skylar had a fun day w/ her friends swimming out in the country. Skylar & I went to our good friends house for a Mothers Day BBQ. We made fruit kabobs from the yummy strawberries we picked ourselves. So far this month we also went to the playground at Sandbridge Beach & to the Aquarium. Skylar had a blast once again at the Aquarium. We got to see them feed the seals & the scuba diver gave her a high five!
