9 months old

Yesterday Skylar had her 9 month checkup. She is 19 lbs & 12 oz & 27 3/4 inches long. The Dr said she is a little young for the allergy test. We will order the wheat allergy test after her 1st birthday. The Dr said that most babies do outgrow it. Hopefully she will but in the meantime it's going to be a gluten free birthday for Skylar!

Our new Virginia home

After 3 counter offers we have come to an agreement with the sellers & we sign the papers tomorrow!!! We are home owners again. YEAH! We bought a 4/bed, 2 1/2 bath house in Virginia Beach (a couple miles from our old house) It is move in ready but we will add our own touches soon. It has a 2 car garage, 2 sheds (1 w/ electric), master has a gas fireplace & family room has a wood burning fireplace, jetted tub w/ mounted tv, a deck & gazebo w/ a hot tub w/ a bar, tons of upgrades like custom cabinets, wood, marble, tile & carpet, gas stove, wine bar, heated tile, heated towel rack, etc...we love it!

Yesterday Skylar went to Atchison's "Jackson Park"...it's haunted like everything else here! It's ok we went during the day before the ghosts came out! She had a very serious look the entire time but we think she had fun.

My Great Aunt Kathy sent me flower seeds for Easter & this week tons of pretty flowers started to bloom. We are moving back to Virginia in 3 months but hopefully the next family that buys this house will enjoy our pretty flowers. Thanks Aunt Kathy!

8 month update

Skylar turned 8 months old on the 28th of August. Time flies! She is now crawling pretty fast & the other day she held on to the couch & pulled herself all the way up. Her 2 bottom teeth are coming in. She loves to crawl all the way across the room to get to Taz...all for him to run away! Today I was finally able to get her hair in pigtails. So cute!
